The Man

Hello. I’m Sam.

At 09.33 on the 28th of May 2015 I packed up my bags, hooked them onto the sides of my trusty cycle; The Tangerine Dream, and set off cycling South East. I’m not sure how far I’ll get, I’m not sure exactly where I’ll go or end up, but hopefully I’ll see a lot of fun things and post the evidence up here.

Hi Lorna, haven’t seen William’s post, I’ll check out his blog.

I’ve decided to fly from Almaty to Xi’an, I’ve already had enough of the cold and snow! I’m pretty disappointed, but at least I can come back and close the loop going south through Kyrgyzstan to Kashgar, which was my original plan before winter crept in!

Happy cycling in Sri Lanka, do you have a blog so I can see how it’s going?

Hi Sam, I’m really glad to have found your blog. Just to give you some background about your bike – yours was the 20th bike I made and I sold it to a guy who was going to cycle to Morocco on it. (I don’t think he ever did)In the end it changed hands a couple of times before it ended up with you. I’m so glad its being used how it was intended.
Keep up the blog its a really good one, and really useful to others planning a similar adventure. It makes me jealous that I’m not there…. I’ll put a link to it on my website if you want.
    best wishes
    Richard

Ah, I thought I’d bought it from the guy who bought it from you as it was in pristine condition, not many miles on it at all. It was too big for him apparently, but his loss was my gain!

A link would be great, I’ll keep championing your bikes to anyone who’ll listen!

  4. Hey Sam , we just had lunch with you in Navasota , Texas.
Enjoyed the 30 minutes, our best.
